The Alliance Française offers  7 week courses in Beginners 1, Continuation, Intermediate  and Conversation  for Adults.

The Alliance is adopting The Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR):

Created by the Council of Europe, the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages has become the international reference for learning and teaching European languages, as well as assessing language acquisition.   The CEFR sets clear standards to be attained at each stage of learning and to evaluate your French language level in an internationally comparable manner.

Courses cover 3 levels:-

  • DISCOVERY:  A1.1  to A1.3
  • INTERMEDIATE: A2.1  to A2.4
  • INDEPENDENT:  B1.1  to  B1.7

At the 2011 AGM it was agreed to change our financial year to run between January 1st to December 31st. This also means Membership will be current  during a calendar year.

 2014 Subscriptions are now due.
